Glenn Evans

I am a solicitor, specialising in commercial property. My focus is on landlord and tenant matters, estate development projects and working with businesses in the catering sector, drawing on my experience in a previous life before I re-trained to become a solicitor. Many of my clients who run pubs, restaurants, cafes, need legal help, and advice, on lease assignment and disposal, business acquisitions and sales.

After completing a degree in catering and hotel administration and running a restaurant in Birmingham, I moved to London to work at the Charing Cross Hotel, as Assistant Manager, before joining Royal Mail in 1989 as “Property and Facilities Manager” for its catering division. In 1995 I decided on a change of career and embarked on the necessary training to become a solicitor, qualifying in 2003.
As well as dealing with catering establishments I act for many other individuals and businesses, primarily dealing with

  • buying and selling property (mostly commercial but some high value residential),
  • the purchase of development land and re-sale of the newly built plots,
  • the acquisition and disposal of leases plus associated matters
  • the grant of easements, adverse possession claims and land registrations
  • buying and selling of business, notably catering establishments
  • company commercial matters such as partnership and shareholder agreements.

After a short break in 2010, where I indulged my passion for travelling, I returned to the UK and Glenn and I decided to set up in partnership together in Hungerford. Lloyd Evans LLP was born and we haven’t looked back since!

I have practiced in the Thames Valley and London for over 20 years and have a broad-based commercial background as well as expertise in litigation, wills and probate and employment matters.

Acting for companies, mostly Small and Medium Enterprises, on a variety of corporate and contractual matters, I have built up considerable experience in dealing with value share and asset acquisitions, disposals and business transfers.

I have successfully conducted a number of Court cases for both companies and individuals in respect of commercial and civil litigation and am able to offer private client services in areas such as Trusts and Estate Planning.

In my spare time I am pleased to be the Chairman of a local charity and get act as a qualified coach for cricket and football clubs.
